Some remotes can have the batteries changed when they become weak. Other remotes are plastic welded together. They can be dismantled but once dismantled are unable to be reassembled. This means once the battery depletes, the unit fails, or the soft button wears away, the complete unit needs to be replaced with a new remote and it needs to be programmed to suit your vehicle.
Does the remote for your car look worn out like one of these ? Not only a convenience factor but a safety issue as well. Picture this, you're alone in a poorly lit car park, you're heading to your car, you can feel the presence of someone behind you. All you can think of is getting safely in the car. You've fumbled through your pockets for the remote to pop the doors so you get in as soon as you get to the car. But whilst being followed and juggling your packages, you can't get your finger tips to press the button, because it's completely worn away. If only you'd got that remote replaced !
Most vehicles have central locking why not upgrade it to a key-less entry or alarm system, for added security and convenience.
If your vehicle already has a remote that doesn't work, don't just think about it, book it in now.
